Community

Both through our businesses and as individuals we support a variety of causes to help deliver assistance to communities in which we work.

Magic Bus

Since 2000 IAP has supported a Mumbai charity, Magic Bus, which in the words of its founder, Matthew Spacie, "offers a programme that is unique in the Asian context in its vision of offering at-risk children a development platform through sport over an extended period. Magic Bus mentors deliver vital emotional, social and physical earnings using sport and the outdoors as its classroom“. Today the Magic Bus programme is run in 10 state in India, reaching out to 250,000 children in India.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Trust

The Trust was set up in 1966 by The Earl Mountbatten of Burma as a memorial to his great friend the late Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. The Trust works towards the furtherance of education by two means - the institution of an annual public lecture known as the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Lecture, and the award of scholarships to outstanding students of Indian citizenship who wish to specialise in science, technology or the humanities.

Between 2010 and 2015 IAP sponsored the annual lecture. Lecturers included Lord Parekh, Sir Neil MacGregor and Shivshankar Menon.
